My iced latte queen 🧊💚
Aoarashi is honestly built for iced lattes, I can't say it any other way!! It punches through milk and ice without losing its grassy aroma and that's so rare. I make a batch in the morning, throw it over ice with oat milk, and it's basically my whole personality in summer. Whisked usucha it's a little more grassy/bitter than I usually go for but the latte form ✨
Reliable latte daily driver
Picked Aoarashi up from a recommendation thread. Used 3g with about 6oz of unsweetened oat milk. The matcha character carries through cleanly, doesn't get washed out. Mild bitterness, no harsh astringency. I make this every morning and a 40g tin gets me about two weeks. Fair price for what it does.
Holds up to oat milk
I bought Aoarashi specifically because someone on reddit said it survives oat milk and they were right. It still has that fresh grassy thing coming through which most matchas just lose when you add anything to them. Not nutty, more vegetal-bitter, but that ends up being a good thing in a latte for me. Whisked usacha I would say it's fine but not memorable.
