My current default
Isuzu has been the daily for a couple months. Whisks up smooth, slight foam, no clumping issues with my battery whisk. Balance leans a bit grassy with a clear umami in the background. Holds up well in oat milk lattes which is mostly how I drink it. Works as usucha too if you want a break from milk.

Isuzu is the matcha I make when I'm rushing out the door and I just need something dependable 🍵 mild bitterness, mellow umami, that lovely Uji vegetal aroma. I like it as a latte with oat milk and a tiny splash of vanilla syrup, very cozy. Not as fancy as Wako but a great everyday.
Super creamy!
Such a default matcha lol. It's the type of matcha that makes you think "wow, it's creamy and sweet!"— there's no immediate notes that stand out, just a generic matcha flavor. There is some grassiness and brightness to it. Maybe a slight nuttiness. It is light to medium bodied and rather basic, but just because it's basic in taste, doesn't mean it's something to brush off! Isuzu has a uniquely pleasant creamy, smooth mouthfeel and sweet aftertaste, with minimal bitterness and astringency. So far, it is the creamiest offering of MK that I've tried. It's even creamier than the ceremonial grade matchas above it (Chigi no Shiro, Yugen, Wako). It may not be the most complex, but damn does its creaminess do all the heavy lifting. Isuzu is popular for a reason, and it is a crowd pleaser for those who like lattes and want something a little more special than a culinary grade matcha. Isuzu's creaminess goes great with soy milk.
