Betsugi is a clear, balanced Uji blend for tea practice and daily usucha, with enough brightness to read through milk. Arita Sansuien dries and heats the blended tencha over binchotan charcoal, a finishing step that has nearly disappeared in Japan. The name means Separate Grade, one of the older traditional matcha names.
