Astrid Tea Matcha

Astrid Tea was founded by Meredith Mao in 2021. The New York-based company keeps a small, curated matcha lineup instead of a sprawling catalog. Its matcha comes from long-running Kyoto tea farms, with blends out of Shirakawa in Uji and a richer one from Kyotanabe. Their current three grades run from a light, barista-style usucha to a koicha blend with a dark-chocolate depth.
