Hatsu-Mukashi combines machine- and hand-picked tencha into a bright, smooth usucha with velvety umami and a soft aroma. The leaf comes from Jōyō, Hachiman and Yamashiro, shaded 20 to 31 days. Its name means First Pickings, the counterpart to Ato-Mukashi, covering the two weeks before the 88th night of spring.
