Tsujiri Ichi Honten Matcha

Founded in 1860 by Tsuji Riemon in Uji, Kyoto, Tsujiri Ichi Honten (辻利一本店) is one of Japan's most storied tea houses. The founder is credited with reviving Uji's tea industry after the fall of the Tokugawa shogunate and perfecting modern gyokuro production. Now multiple generations on, the company stone-grinds matcha at its Uji, offering a lineup that spans accessible everyday usucha to apex koicha grades.
