Expert Review
TL;DR
A pleasant, well-rounded matcha suitable for daily drinking at an unbeatable value.
Prepared as
"Well-rounded" is the best way I can describe Uzu no Shiro by Tsujiri Ichi Honten. It doesn't hit you over the head with any particular flavor profile, but everything fits together perfectly. I tasted a subtle bitterness that didn't distract, with a pleasant umami finish.
I can't think of a better value for a daily usacha at $17/30g as of 2026. The only hint of its price seems to be the color - not as vibrant green as some other higher grade Uji matchas.
